Maria Has Inside Experience at Relocation – Sotheby’s Has Global Services
Maria is also a valuable source of advice for buyers who are relocating – nationally and internationally – because she can advise them from real life experience. Maria was born and educated in Finland and speaks Swedish, Finnish and French. She has lived in Helsinki, New York, London and Houston and moved to the U.S. – twice.
Maria has lived in the area since 1997 with the exception of a one-year relocation back to London. She originally built a new home in Paradise Valley, and upon her return from London moved to Scottsdale.
Broad Real Estate ExperienceBefore moving to the U.S. in 1982, Maria worked in the Chemical Industry in Finland. She moved to the U.S. and began a long and successful career in the Energy/Oil industry. This included her first exposure to commercial real estate. Her marriage led to the move to Paradise Valley where she switched careers to retailing and then to real estate sales because she wanted to work with individuals and families and not just corporate issues.
Real estate sales has proven to be the right choice for Maria who was a marketing major and graduated from one of Finland’s top business schools. Her interest in architecture and design led to her to post-graduate studies at the Parson’s School of Design in New York long before she found how her skills in this area and her business like approach to real estate would be of tremendous value to her clients.
